Photos - Tug, barge & LCVP


LCVP

Christopher ready to drive the Eager Beaver of the LCVP onto the beach.
Will try and put pictures of tug and barge on tomorrow as the internet will not up-load photos properly tonight.

    Takes me back to my youth growing up at Douglas; oh how I hated going to Stanley for school aged 13!
    I enjoyed flying into your islands during my time with FIGAS, however, I must admit to landing on the wrong (new) strip at Speedwell whilst being trained by Eddie! Confused Ron and amused Eddie no end! No harm done I'm pleased to say.

      Glad you like the blog.
      Life is still good in camp. It's changed a fair bit over the last 10 years with the opening of the abattoir but I think it is a change for the better. Of course it has created a lot more work but its great not having all your eggs in one basket.
      We are just about to flail the airstrip as the diddle dee has encroached in on it quite badly and it needs opening up. FIGAS is still a great service, obliging and flexible.
